:?: alright guys,
i want to do a few things to my truck.....for now.....maybe more power and just a little more ability off road.....what ever i do has to look cool, be functional, and not cost me my arm.

im thinking that for right now my budget cant be more than 4-500 dollars, with that in mind i want the most bang for my buck, and keep in mind that i drive my truck roughly 3k a month for my pharmacy job so it cant turn out like a hard core rock buggy or with body panels missing.......yet ( till i get something to replace it) and i get 17-19 mpg.....i cant afford to get any worse...........thanks for all the opinions expressed and i hope there are some good ones guys!

I got a $500 revtech lift coupon i will let you have for $300 if you want a cheap lift.
It would help if you put some specs of your truck down for us to go on. What year, engine and such.

like armored said, What vehicle areyou starting with? Here are some basic ideas that will work regardless of the vehocle in particular order. each of these may be done with under $500 but combined will be much more.

1. I would say add a locker to one of your axles. It won't look cool in any way but it will make your truck morecapable off road.

2. Sliders are another option that will look "cool" and be functional off road.

3. If you want to add power - make your truck breath better (intake) or exhale better (header/ high flow muffler and Catalytic converter.

4. A set of Radial M/T's one size larger than stock on the stock rims would look good and be better off-road without sacrificing much road manners.

Yep.

I say you go for a locker and some sliders. A locker and sliders can easily be done for under $500 (unless you go with an e-locker or an ARB).

Put the running boards back on and you won't need sliders :)
