mine does the same thing, no idea what it is or why it happens, but i do know that it only for a minute so i dont really worry about it. it also only happens in the morning, even if my truck sits at work all day in the cold it wont do it when i start it up to go home. i would imagine that as long as you dont flog on it before its warm it not that big of a deal, but you should let your junk warm up anyway

A cracked/leaking exhaust mainfold is your culprit. I had the same problem a couple years back. I put an LCE header on and haven't heard that sound since.

Umm ill check in to it, i would love to get a header but dont have to finaces to do that yet!, i normaly let it warm up, but some times im running late for work and got to bolt out the door, i guess i can get Toyota to look @ it. and see what they say since it shouldent cost me any money!

The mainfold on my 22re did the same thing, I may have a used 2.7l manifold I can get my hands on if yours is cracked
