I spent the day up in GWNF yesterday, and figured i would pass a few things along in case anyone is heading out there soon.

I Spent part of the day on second mountain, the lower gate is open, but the area with all the mud pits is all blocked off with rocks. Big rocks.

Overall its dry as hell on most the trails, but on a few of the little loops off 33 i found a few good muddy trails

There were plenty of hunters out, and i'm sure they didn't appreciate me running around out there, but oh well.

One more thing, the trees are gorgeous out there, This weekend was a great example the best of mid atlantic fall

We should group up of simi fast moving trucks and head out there sometime. You can enter the GW at North end near Timberville, and take the 74 road in to second mountian. There is a large road network back in that area.

You know what i think i stumbled on to some of that, i just installed my SAW's and i'll have my deavers on by the end of the month.

I was moving at a good speed most the day, once i get the deavers i'm game

depends on the road. You can't get going too fast, too many blind curves. I'd say 40 would be max, and 20mph most of the time.

Let me know when you get the deavers. That leaf pack will make for a better ride for sure.
