Hi, I live in Chesterfield County. I just bought a '94 pickup, with engine problems. I'm new to Toyotas, and I would appreciate advice on reputable suppliers for engine parts, standard and mild upgrade.
Also for a rear bumper.
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks.
I had found LC Engineering and was impressed by their website. I appeciate your favorable opinion. We have not yet torn the engine down, so I do not know what we will do on the rebuild.

Prez: The truck is a 4 cyl 22E, 5-speed, 4WD. As far as I can tell, it is stock, and prob'ly never been off-road. It has a rod-knock. I hope we can start working on the engine by the end of the year.
Would you convert your 88 2WD to 4WD? There are lots of straight-axle kits you could start with.

yeah i was thinking about it. I need to make sure the frame can handle it. are you sure its a rod knock...my 22R had a knock and it was the timing chain slapping!
