I just mounted 36x12.50's on 15x8's. It took me about 15 minutes each.

Have you ever mounted a bike tire? It's basically the same, just on a bigger scale.

All you really need is something to pry with, somethng to lube the beads a bit, and an air source. A valve core remover makes it a bit easier.
I bought two tire spoons at Tractor Supply (you're welcome to borrow them). I searched a bit online and all the tire manufacturers said to use a vegetable based lube. I made a mix of about 2 parts water and 1 part Crisco oil and I spread it on the beads.

Lay the rim face up on the floor, lay the tire on top, and then pry the inside bead on. Then you need to pry the outside bead, which is usually a bit harder.
Once both beads are on, start inflating it, but be careful and keep your hands out of the bead area. The beads will eventually pop into place on the rim. If you can't get a good seal between the tires and rims, wrap a ratchet strap around the circumfirunce of the tire and pull it tight. Then try adding air again.
If the tires don't seat using 40 PSI, stop and reposition them, then try again. Don't use more than 40 PSI.

i think i will take you up on the spoon offer. is that what tires shops wipe around the bead when they put it on, some sort of lube. i always thought that was glue. but either way ill try.
