Hey guys,
I don't know if this subject has ever been discussed so cut me a break if it has. Since we're in the good old "honeymoon" phase of our web merger, I thought this might be a good time to mention TTORA license plates. I had the idea a while ago, but with the Maryland board being a ghost town I never posted. I know a lot of people use vanity plates for their nicknames and such, but I thought their might be enough interest per state to make the minimum request of plate orders (I don't know the exact #).

Just thought I'd put that out there.

TX TTORA used to sell TTORA plate frames. Got one for $15 one time fee, and easy to take off if you sell the truck and buy a **** (randy). Besides, I doubt the DMV or the States of VA or MD would give us a plate to promote illegal modification and height of vehicals.

Here's an update--

I checked with the MVA and the requirements are for the organization to be non-profit and a minimum of 25 members.

Also-- Baltimore 4-wheelers have their own plate, so I don't think they could deny us if interested.
The plates would be $15 non logo or $25 with logo. You can go to the MVA website and look at the Balt 4-Wheelers tag with logo. I think it looks good.
The short cut seems to be to go to FAQ page scroll down to plate info and click on "organizational plates".

I checked VA, it's not so easy.
Have to have the General Assembly approve it, have to pay $3500 "administrative" fee, and then have to have 350 pre-orders within two years BEFORE the plates are developed.

I can see that housing isn't the only thing that's outrageously priced over in Va.....

You're not kidding!
You have your choice of 180 plates(per the DMV) here in VA. I can't believe that so many have gone through such a process, though, it might not have always been this tough.

VA sucks for specialized plates. I'm still waiting for the Surfrider Foundation plates to be avaliable. It's was approved earlier this year and was suppose to be avaliable to the general public in late spring. Oh well.

VA has a lot of stupid "over the top" vehicle laws
