missing something

signed up to post to the forums a couple of days ago, but I think I'm missing a step or 2. Is there something else I need to do to become a member? Interested in the newbie trail run in GWNF in a couple of weeks. BTW, this is the first forum I've ever been interested in, so I may need step by steps to get everything right. In fact, I'm actually kinda proud I figured out what "BTW" means.

I lived in Parkville, MD for the past couple of years. Moving to Pikesville this weekend. A weekend driving in the woods, without a bunch of furniture and boxes in the back of my truck, will be just what I need.
