buy this car for 13K? It has 40K miles

My comuter car is going soon plus it has a blown head gasket, so I have been looking at Celica GTS. I found another one at a dealer, a bone stock GTS w/ 76K miles for 9,500. This guy has all kinds of "BLING" mods on it and allmost 1/2 the miles for 3.5K more. I offered him 12,500 and I think he will take it.

The only 2 bad things are..
1. messed up headliner
2. car is not paid for (so ill have to wait for a title) he owe's 14K still.

The doors are pimp. It's a little too ricy for my tastes, and I really don't like buying modified vehicles since you don't know how the previous owner treated the car. (i.e. trans could be about to go)

Well he claims there are no performance mods, only BLING show mods. Only mechanical thing he changed was the suspension springs. He didnt even put in a short throw shifter and thats prob the most common mod on the celica-6speed.

I had a 00 celica gts before and loved it! the car handled so well and it was a blast to drive. I had it with my Ex and when we broke up neither of us could afford it and got rid of it.

Actually I could care less what is on the car, whats selling me is its only got 40K miles and im getting all the stock parts with it. all the other ones im seeing has 70K miles plus for 10-12K

So Ill be un-pimping most of my ride. lol
The lowering springs - gone
CF hood - gone
loud exhaust - def! gone
lambo door hinges - we will see If I like pulling a door up. If its a PITA - gone

And If I can get at least 1K for all this crap I got a real good deal

all the rest are interior crap and the TRD spoiler and I like the wing.

I dunno man. I personally wouldnt buy a used celica, gts or gt. People beat the crap out of those. I drove my friends which had a small valve tap at the time and ended up blowing up the engine. Those things are also notorious for blowning pistons due to over revving or downshifting from 6th to 1st. Ive got a celica gt shell thats baby blue with 100k on it with a engine thats got 22k on it, and a blown up celca engine. Any takers?
