My local club is doing a trailer group buy.
Frosty and I are putting together a bulk buy on trailers. Here's what we've got for the base trailer.....
Length will be 18 feet, includes a 2 foot dovetail
Tandem 3500# axles for a GVWR of 7000#
Electric brakes on one axle
Wooden deck
82" between the fenders, 102" overall
Frame is 5" channel
Tongue is 4" channel, wrap-around
Ramps, stow-away under the trailer
2" coupler
DOT approved lights and safety chains
7 pin electrical plug
2000# drop leg jack
Tires and rims are used
Base price is $1600
Options:
Brakes on both axles, $110
Breakaway kit, $75
New tires and rims, $225
Trailers will be delivered to Westminster. Pickup will be at Condons as AJ has offered to unload them for us. :beer:
We would like at least 6 more people and can take as many as 8 more. Max load back is 5 trailers per truck. If you want in, there will be a $200 non-refundable deposit in cash, with the rest due on or before delivery. If needed, I can take a credit card payment at my discretion through Paypal, but you have to eat the 3.1% fee they charge me ...less than $50 on a base trailer.
Timeline will depend on how fast we get commitments and how long it takes the manufacturer to make them.

I've spoke with 4 individuals who have purchased these same trailers over the past 6 months and they have all had nothing but good things to say.
