Well, my SAS isn't finished, but I've started another even bigger project: a kitchen remodel.
We already have new appliances (not installed yet) and the new cabinets are arriving on Tuesday. Before we even get started with those things, the old floor has to be removed (for a variety of reasons).
Removing ceramic tile is bullshit. I rented a machine and it didn't do a bit of good. The only method that I've found that works is using a 3 lb. hammer and 3" chisel. It's a pain.
Here are the pics:

Nice kneepads...!
LOL.
Oh man, having done a kitchen myself, I don't envy the work at all. I'd give you a hand, but thankfully I'm too far away.
Good Luck,
Kyle

:flipoff2:
I started with no kneepads. Then I used my skateboard knee pads for a bit. But they were too thick and bulky, so I went to Home Depot and got those beauties. It's such a sucky job, but at least my knees won't complain too much when it's over.

Got damn that looks like some shit work
If you ever need anything re-wired(correctly) let me know. I'd be glad to help. Aside from wiring and minor plumbing work I'm useless.
Get that sas done already, you got ADD or somethin. :D

I did the same thing in my old house (I recently moved) and I found that using a air hammer chizel works good. I then put down backer board (cement board) over the floor even though there were a view bumps from the old thinset from the previous floor but as long as your backer board is flat the new tile will lay down nice. good luck, that job is a major pain in the a$$

ADD is for IFS Tacos. I have manual hubs.
I'm just really lazy, but it'll be done one of these days, I mean weeks.

I just thought about that tonight. I wish I had a bigger compressor 'cause those air hammers use up a lot of air.

Jason, why is everything covered in plastic if you are just going to rip it all out?
Oh... nice knee pads. :flipoff2:

'Cause I was too lame to clean up all the shit on the counter tops first. The toaster, some dishes, cooking utensils, etc. that were all sitting on the counter when I decided to start tearing up the floor. The amount of dust this creates is amazing.
And everyone can f-off about the kneepads. That shit is brutal without them. Or maybe I'm just getting too freakin' old to crawl around on the floor.
