FYI
The 1:6 scale (the big one) is being closed out for $49. Got one today, couldn't resist at that price.
They also have 2 different RC snowmobiles on closeout for $19 each. One is as big as the 1:6 scale rockcrawler. Got one of those for the winter.

Wow, I paid about $45 for the little one.
I haven't used mine in months, since before Christmas. Well, I'm on vacation this week to remodel my kitchen, and I got sick of it and broke out the RC crawler. They're super fun, but my battery doesn't last long at all.

they are closing them out? at every walmart?
I have tried to find one in Hawaii, but have had no luck. I am oing to try tomorrow night and if I don't find one, looks like I will be buing an Emaxx and moding it to my liking.

You should see Jamison's new "stick bug" Rc crawler he is building.
I like the faster RC trucks Got a Team Associated RC10T4 and a Rustler.

hmmmm OK.... and the point of these are???? You spend(blank) enough $$$ on the full size version so you gotta drop more $$$ on a 1/6th version. NO offense to the super hardcore folks, I'm just ridin the short bus right now.

$49 for a toy like this that I can play with in the back yard ? It's not like putting out $500+ for one of the serious RC crawlers and dumping more money into it on mods. Heck, the battery and charger that come with it are worth $49.
I went to both Wal-Marts close to me and no luck. For me it is something else related to the pasttime I enjoy. I will probably spend clost to $1000 in the next six month's building a serious RC crawler to play with. I tend to go all out or nothing when I decide to do something. Right now I am fighting the urge to even get in the sport. The good thing is, I can't see myself doing many expensive mods to the 4Runner in the next three years.

If they're that hard to find, maybe I should go back and get the one they had left. It could be a parts truck :D

Maybe I'm just bein a crusty old fart at 28yrs old. Everyone I've known got out of the RC thing when they were 12. I just don't see the point in it.
Not my cup of tea etc......oh well.

Pete,
I see the problem, you grew up :P, at the old biological age of 36 I still try to live like a 20 year old (that is my excuse for not drinkin', I'm not legal yet  ).
Different strokes for different folks, but as long as we all own a Toyota life is good

I was playing with my Scorpion today. I took the springs off and let it ride on the "bumpstops." It actually works a lot better that way.
