... kicks ass.

I know this isn't really a tech thread, but I finally got my rig on the trails to test out the SAS. It works great, but I didn't have my camera so I didn't get any really great flex shots. Here a few someone else shot.

Now I just need some better gearing and a front locker. Also, 36"s are great, but now I need 38"s.

Worked awsome all weekend Jason. I wish you could have seen that thing flexed coming up the ledge on 5. It was just awsome looking coming up there.

BTW nice seeing the VA guys that made it 8)

WTF? I vaguely recall someone saying "I won't ever need anything bigger than 36's" just this weekend. You've got BigItis now.

Next thing you know, you'll be trading in the DD for a Diesel tow rig.

36"s are actually just about perfect. But I do wish I could tow my junk.

How well did those 36's clear? Which front springs did you use and were did you setup your bumpstops?

Looks really good there Beater. How is the kitchen coming along? Are you still working on your hair styles post?

I used Trail Gear 3" springs and T.G. steering, and everything fits fine without any rubbing. I used Marlin bumpstops welded to the u-bolt flip kit plates, and I used 14" travel shocks with 14" T.G. shock hoops mounted as high on the frame as possible.

I need to build or buy some bumpstop extensions to drop down from the frame because my shocks are bottoming out before I hit the bumpstops. The bumpstop extensions will limit my uptravel just a bit, but I still have plenty of droop so it's all good. Plus that'll keep me from needing to tub the firewall.

The kitchen is coming along slowly, but I finally got the new wall cabinets hung. I should be getting the new base cabinets installed very shortly. The new sink arrived Thursday, and the new faucet came over the weekend while I was at Rausch Creek. It'll be done soon.
