Who here is a member of any of these organizations? How many people think it really matters since we live out East, and don't have access to much in public lands.
I marked United Four Wheel Drive Association, but I am also a member of Tread Lightly and the Virginia Four Wheel Drive Association as well as POOR BOYS. The poll only allows you to choose one.

I'm not a member of any. But I think as a club (TTORA chapter) we should be part of VA4WDA as well as Tread Lightly. U4WDA is another org we should join.

Multiple selections possible here... Base membership in some affiliated clubs gets you region/national membership
Columbia Hill Climbers = EC4WDA = U4WDA + Tread Lightly

I was looking at what it takes to join TTORA-VA to VA4WDA.

For VA4WDA, it's 21.00/club member which includes membership in the United Four Wheel Drive Association, UFWDA, at no additional charge, and the UFWDA quarterly newsletter, United's Voice. Plus, you'll receive "Four Wheeling in Virginia", the VA4WDA quarterly newsletter.

Remeber Turner, some groups hate offroad vehicals period. All private land is up stream from someone. In the future they may try to claim some sort of downstream impact.

Also, look at all the trails on the map at the GWNF that are closed off. If there was a big organization that fought for the rights of ORV's in the VA area the trails could still be open. Look at Old Long Run. That was one of the nicest trails in the Forrest. It was closed to four wheelers a couple years ago because there was little opposition to the greenies who wanted it closed
